Instructional time is limited, but there are quick and easy ways to bring podcasts into your classroom! All of the below ideas take 10-15 minutes and are great for teachers still familiarizing themselves with Listenwise.
#1 Weekly Quiz Assignment
How to set up the activity:
- Choose one of the Current Event quiz stories for your students. We publish multiple new stories per month.
- Assign the quiz for students to complete independently (instructions to set up a quiz).
- Listenwise quizzes provide insights into your students' listening skills! Check out the data on your Classes page.
Why it’s important: Quizzes are great for assessing listening skills or standardized test prep. Plus, they’re easy to assign and auto-graded, so it’s a time-saver for you!
#2 Class Warm Up
How to set up the activity:

- Listen to the story together!
- Use the comprehension questions on the Assignment Resources tab of the story to facilitate a class discussion.
