Co-teaching on Listenwise

If you coteach, you can add co-teachers to your Listenwise classes. This functionality allows you to have another teacher help manage class activity including assigning work to students and reviewing student submissions for the class. 

Co-teachers do not have access to rostering features, so they are unable to update the roster, delete the class, or change the class settings. These actions are only available to the primary teacher of the class.

Co-teacher Access

Coteacher can do everything the primary teacher can do except rostering updates. They can:

• Assign new written assignments and quizzes to students (any assignments created by a co-teacher will be added to the My Library of the primary teacher).
• Update assignments or change due dates.
• Review student work and leave feedback for students.
• Access quiz reports.

Adding a Co-teacher to a Listenwise Class

Follow the below steps to add a co-teacher to your Listenwise class:

1. From My Classes on your dashboard, click Manage Classes.

2. Click the 3-dot menu on the right-hand side and choose Add Co-teacher.

3. Choose the co-teacher from the drop-down menu and click Add Co-teacher.

NOTE: The teacher must already have a Listenwise account and be enrolled in your school's subscription in order to add them as a co-teacher. If you don't see them on the list have them sign up for an account and join your school's Premium subscription (more help here).

4. When you add a co-teacher, they will be listed as a co-teacher on your class roster. They will also receive an email confirming access to your Listenwise class.

Do you use Google Classroom? If you already have a co-teacher in your Google Classroom, we'll import them for you and automatically make them a co-teacher in your Listenwise class. 

Removing a Co-teacher from a Listenwise Class

To remove a co-teacher from a class:

1. From My Classes on your dashboard, click Manage Classes.

2. Open the roster for the class by clicking on the class name.

3. Click Remove Teacher.
