Once you find a podcast, you have three options to share with students: Create a customized written assignment, assign a multiple choice quiz, or share the audio via a Listening Link.
Written Assignment:
These assignments are open-ended and include the Comprehension and Discussion Questions listed on the Assignment Resources tab a Listenwise story. You can customize the assignment resources or make multiple versions based on your students’ needs.
This option is available on every Listenwise story. From the upper right-hand corner of the page, click Create Assignment on the story to set up your assignment. For more help on creating a written assignment, see this section of the support site.
Quiz:
These assignments are multiple-choice, auto-graded, and test specific listening skills (i.e. Main Idea and Inferencing). You can decide to include or remove the interactive transcript based on students’ needs and assign it to all of your classes at the same time!
Quizzes are not yet available on every Listenwise story. If there is a quiz on a story, click the Assign Quiz to share with students in the upper right-hand corner of the page. For more help with quizzes, see this section of the support site.
Share Audio:
If you want students to listen to a story but not complete a digital assignment, you can share the audio via a Listening Link. This is a great option if you want to add the podcast to an existing lesson plan or create a playlist of story options for students to listen to.
This option is available on every Listenwise story. Simply click the Share Audio button in the upper right-hand corner of the story page!
