How to find content for newcomers and emergent multilingual learners

All lessons on Listenwise and Lingolift include an English Language Proficiency (ELP) level ranging from 1-6 to make it easier to determine which lessons are recommended for your students based on their proficiency levels. On our platform, ELP levels 1-2 indicate the content best for newcomers and emergent multilingual learners, and this article will show you how to find it on Listenwise and Lingolift. 

You will find the ELP level on every lesson page for Listenwise and Lingolift: 

Listenwise

Most content on Listenwise is best for intermediate to advanced multilingual learners, so a majority of lessons will be ELP levels 3-6. To help you find lower level content, you can filter by the ELP Level 1-2 band on the search page, and lessons display the ELP level for your search results:

You can also browse all Listenwise lessons for ELP Levels 1-2 from the menu: Click Lessons, then All Lessons, and then Lessons for ELP Levels 1-2.

Lingolift

Because Lingolift is designed for newcomers, most content on Lingolift will be ELP levels 1-4. On the search page, you can filter by the ELP 1-2 band to see which Lingolift and Listenwise lessons are best for your newcomers.
