Unlike Listenwise quizzes, written assignments are not auto-graded. These listening comprehension assessments allow for wide-ranging responses that are truly open-ended. They also feature the ability to add, remove, and edit questions and graphic organizers, with the capability to be modified for different student abilities.
Listenwise does not provide rubrics, so teachers can choose how to review and assess written assignments on the Listenwise platform in accordance with their instructional goals and assessment practices. Tips for providing feedback can be found in this blog post.
If you want to keep assignments shorter or make them faster to grade, remove a few questions or only include your own questions. The assignments are open-ended, so you can customize them to your needs.
On our ELD lessons, we provide answer keys for the Fill-in-the-Blank organizers. Answers can be found in the Teacher's Guide under "Second close listen: Language & Content."
Our Elementary lessons include one of three graphic organizers: T-Chart, Fill-in-the-Blank or True/False organizer. These graphic organizers come with answer keys, which can be found on the Teacher’s Guide tab, under During Listening.
Graphic organizers for Secondary Gen Ed lessons do not currently include answer keys.
