Why is the Google single sign-on button not working?

If you get the message "Access blocked: Your institution's admin needs to review Listenwise" as in the screenshot below, you need to ask your IT department and/or Google Admin to approve our app in Google to allow students to use the Google SSO button to log into Listenwise. 

Google is updating their third-party app settings and requiring districts to approve of apps in order to allow students to login via Google single sign-on. Starting on October 23, 2023, Google SSO will only work for Listenwise if we are a trusted 3rd-party app in your Google Workspace for Education account. You can read more about it in this Google support article. Share this with your IT team for instructions to approve our app.
