There are a few possibilities for why students are receiving a 404 error when they click on a Listenwise assignment in Google Classroom. See below for a few ways to resolve the issue:
Reason #1: Students are not enrolled in the class of the assignment you shared.
If students moved to a different Listenwise class, they will not be able to access the link for their old Listenwise class’s assignments.
Solution: Listenwise rosters don’t automatically update when your Google Classroom rosters change, so you’ll need to sync updates manually. For instructions, see Updating Google Classroom Rosters. New students will automatically see assignments in their Listenwise dashboard if there are assignments for the whole class. If you assigned anything to individual students, you’ll need to add the student to the assignment.
Reason #2: Students may have received the incorrect Listenwise assignment link.
When you share assignments to Google Classroom, each Listenwise class has a unique assignment link. If you share the incorrect link to the wrong class, students will receive an error.
Solution: Once logged in, have students click Dashboard on the menu bar. Their assignment should be on this page.
General Solution: If you have consistent issues with students getting a 404 error when accessing the assignment link from Google Classroom, simply share a link to app.listenwise.com/students and tell students which assignment to complete.
