Our elementary lessons offers the same resources as other Listenwise lessons but are tailored to the needs of younger learners. See this article for more on elementary content and finding elementary lessons on Listenwise.
Comprehension & Quiz Questions
All questions included in elementary lessons are appropriate for younger learners. Each multiple-choice quiz will have four questions focusing on: recognizing literal meaning, understanding vocabulary in context, making inferences, and identifying the main idea.
Listening Organizer
Elementary lessons include two organizers. Each lesson will have the Language Identification Organizer, which has students check off phrases as they hear them. The second organizer will either be a T-Chart, Fill-in-the-Blank or True/False organizer. Answer keys for the second organizer can be found on the Teacher’s Guide tab, under During Listening.
Student Synopsis
The brief synopsis on written assignments is created specifically for elementary students to help spark interest. This student-facing synopsis differs from the one you’ll see on the teacher view of the lesson page.
