To find content on Listenwise, you can either search & filter or browse our lesson library. This article will give you an overview of how to browse on Listenwise. From the menu bar, you can browse our Lessons, Current Events, and Collections:
Browse our Gen Ed and ELD lessons by subject area from the main menu or click All Lessons to see lessons by English language proficiency level bands (see this article for more information about ELP levels) and grade level bands.
Once you click into a page, you can filter by subject:
This library features different themes like Weird News and Debate, so you can browse by those different subcategories of Current Events or view all Current Events together.
Collections are highly curated audio “text sets” organized around commonly taught curriculum topics and themes. We now have more than 90 Collections featuring 5-10+ lessons each. Collections have been curated for educators at different grade levels to use in teaching ELA, ELD, social studies, and science, so there’s something for everyone!
You can browse by standard to find a Listenwise story to meet a specific standard. On the menu bar, click Standards to bring you to the list of lessons that align to your state standards.
Click on a Grade level for a subject area to see the standards. Click See Lessons for this Standard to generate a list of lessons to meet that standard. To see ELL standards, click See ELD/ESL Lessons for this Standard.
