How to Use Filters on the Search Page

This article will help you navigate searching on Listenwise and share a few tips & tricks, too!

To find the search page, either type in a topic in the search bar:

We recommend keeping your search broad to begin with, then refine results by filtering by subject area or grade level. Here are some popular filters: 

• ELP Level: Use this to filter for lessons based on students' English language proficiency levels. More information on ELP levels can be found here.
• Text Complexity Measure: This is an indicator of the language complexity of an audio story transcript. Use the low, medium, or high categories to find the right podcast. For more on this measure, see this article.
• Quiz: Found under Content Type, If you want to assign a multiple-choice, auto-graded listening quiz, make sure to check this box. It’s the most popular filter option with teachers!

To remove a filter, you can uncheck it on the search bar or remove the filter at the top.

Click the refresh/clear all icon to remove all filters and your search term and start your search over!
